We offer several different premium print methods.
If you do not specify how you want it printed, our print team will make the decision for you. Please find below a list of all the printing methods we offer, along with details on when each would be most appropriate.
DTG
Direct to garment
Our most popular and standard print method due to its versatility and ability to create full fantastic prints, from basic artwork to full colour complex designs. Ink is applied directly to the garment with DTG, allowing for high-quality, full-colour printing. There are many benefits to DTG printing, including softness, breathability, and durability.
- Excellent print quality
- The print is smooth and feels like it is part of the fabric
- Printed on light or dark garments (Furniture absorbs ink, so on darker garments, DTG prints may be less vibrant)
- Supports all file types
- Printed dyed-in-fabric surface
- Prints on printed garments last a long time when they are cared for as instructed. It won’t crack, peel, or fade.
- Suitable for orders up to 600 pieces
DTF
Direct to film
Another printing method we offer here is direct to film printing. Fabrics of all types can be printed with this ink and it is suitable for printing most types of artwork. A special paper is printed with ink directly onto it, which is then cured before being placed on the garment and heat pressed. In addition to having excellent colour accuracy and detail, DTF prints also look great.
- Provides you with a beautiful solid print that is sharp, clear, and vivid, so you will get a very similar result to what you originally intended.
- Perfect for open weave fabrics and synthetic materials, where DTG cannot be used (DTG is better for cotton, linen, and cotton blends).
- Smooth and elastic prints ensure a long-lasting effect
- If you wash the print a few times, it’ll wear in, even though it feels plastic (because it’s printed film)
- Photo, colour design, graphics, and fine art can be printed using the DTF method because of its ability to capture fine details
- The prints are resistant to cracking and will not fade in cold or lukewarm washings.
- Can be used for small or large quantities
Vinyl printing
This method involves cutting your artwork from a single-coloured piece of vinyl using a machine. A heat press is then used to apply the vinyl design to the garment. It is very hard wearing and can be printed in solid colours. Vinyl comes in only a limited range of colours, so you may not be able to achieve an exact match to your design. Due to its individualised nature, vinyl printing may incur additional costs, as it is ordered specially on a case-by-case basis. Creates a solid vibrant, bold finish
- Perfect for small and medium quantities
- Ideal for text and simple designs
- You can only use one colour per design
